What is the TagsLock Pro?

How would you like it if someone used your web site content for their own financial gain? You probably wouldn't.

TagsLock Pro is a program to protect your Web site from spammers, cheaters, Site downloaders and source code explorers. May be it the best tool, because we made it after using another tools.

Why did we decide to write this program? We tried 10 different programs available and found We needed a more powerful tool to suit our needs. Free of bugs. Full featured.

This is the best and most flexible tool available to protect your entire web site or just a single web page.

How does it work?

TagsLock Pro works using Java Script technology. This technology is supported by the most of browsers, so we think it is a safe method. Moreover, it is a single-possible method.

TagsLock Pro is project-oriented utility. So you should create new project (with New Project Wizard), protect Web site and later re-protect it (when update) by one click!

What does mean 'encryption method'?

Now TagsLock Pro offers you three methods of site protection. This is anti-SPAM protection (in this case spammers will not extract any e-mail addresses from your page), anti-SiteDownloaders (protection from such programs as Teleport Pro, WebZip etc), and full source protection (nobody will understand what you made). You can choose any method in New Project Wizard.

How can I protect entire Web site?

If you want to protect all html-files of your Web site, press the button 'Add a folder...' in 'Files' tabsheet and select a folder in your computer where a copy of your site stored. After it you can remove some files from project ('Remove' button - it will not delete a file from disk! - only from this project).

When you generate new project, you can add all html-files automatically.

I receive too many SPAM from my site. Can it be fixed?

Yes. Check 'E-Mail links' radio box in 'Encryption type' page. After this, your site will be protected from spammers. Remember, what old spam-lists are alive and you can receive unsolicited mail again, but new spam-lists will not contain your addresses, so you will be spammed less.

Or choose "Options|Set pre-defined options|Light - anti-SPAM"

Can I protect my site from Teleport Pro or WebZip?

Yes. Check 'All links' radio box in 'Encryption type' page. After it no one program will store your site. Maximum one starting page.

How can I make my web pages unreadable for surfers?

Check 'Web site entire' radio box in 'Encryption type' page. After it nobody will understand the source of your page.

Or choose "Options|Set pre-defined options|Hard - encrypt page source fully"

How can I improve my Web site?

You can setup some features in tabs 'Meta tag options', 'Misc options I', 'Misc options II' and 'Tags to skip'.

Or choose "Options|Set pre-defined options|Improve SE ranking"

My site is a gallery. How can I protect my images?

When surfer want to save a picture from some site, he makes right-mouse click at this picture and select 'Save image...' item in pop-up menu. Using my program you can disable this click. After it in a place of pop-up menu user will see a warning message what right-mouse is disabled. This message is editable.

Check 'Disable mouse right-click' in 'Misc option I' tabsheet for this feature.

Note for Internet Explorer 6: New version of Internet Explorer has new feature - Image Toolbar. Now user can store interested image without right-click. But TagsLock Pro can disable this toolbar!

I want to protect my site from off-line viewing. How to do it?

You can make it checking 'Disable off-line page viewing' in 'Misc options I' tabsheet. Also you can define here an URL to redirect user if he see the page off-line.

I found what some site shows my pages in own frame and places its banners above my page. What can I do?

Check the box 'Kill frames' in 'Misc options II'. After it, if your page will be shown in a frame, browser will kill a frame and open your page in normal mode. And user will see YOUR URL, but NOT ANOTHER.

I'm Russian Web Master. Last one I used another html-protector and after encryption Cyrillic chars was not shown in IE. Is your program compatible with it?

Check the box 'Skip ASCII-codes 128-256 to encrypt' in 'Misc options II' to fix this problem. In all other cases this check box has no effect.

I want to protect my Web Site fully, but headers must not be crypted for better SE-rating. Is it possible?

Yes. Go to tabsheet 'Tags to skip'. In a table there define pairs of tags inside which encryption will not be processed. We recommend you to define <h1>, <h2>, <big>, <strong>. Also comments <-- ... -->, if you plan to use SSI

I like this program. How can I register it and what is the price?

The price of TagsLock Pro is just $29.85 (or $199 for Business License). We think it is not very expensive for good protection of your Web Site. Just estimate, how much can you loose if someone will steal your content...

Ok, may be your program is good. But how I can test it?

You can test the protection so:

1. Try to extract e-mails from your Web Site
   (for example, using Atomic Email Hunter)

2. Try to download all your site
   (Use Teleport Pro for it)

3. Protect your Web Site using TagsLock Pro.

4. Try to extract e-mails and download your site again

Can you see some results?

I wanted to protect a file from spam, but didn't get a result. What's up?

The source of a problem can be here: when you choose 'E-mail links' or 'All links' method, TagsLock Pro also skips the blocks of html-file, defined in 'Tags to skip' page. The most of problems are here.

Remove some pair tags, it can be the source of your problems. (Very often web Master like to make bold links - but one of the default tags-to-skip in TagsLock Pro is <STRONG> - remember and don't mistake!

I have some strange error. What's up?

Remember to use HTML Validators before apply our protection tool. Sometimes people ask me why <strong></strong> is not crypted. Answer: this is a stupid construction! Use HTML validators!

I used protect 'E-mail links', but E-Mail Hunter found some e-mails. What's up?

Term: 'All e-mail links'

If your page have in a body such text as:

<body>
  ...
  and for more questions please mail 
  me to me@mydomain.com,
  I'll try to answer as
  soon as possible
</body>
      

here address me@mydomain.com will be good extracted, because IT IS NOT E-MAIL LINK, IT IS A TEXT! Use 'Hole document' method to fix.
